The CF Folder
A project is a folder that contains all the content used to create
ChyTV pages and schedules. Typical
project folder names might be Demo, MyProject, McMoosesPub,
etc. Underneath a project folder are at
least the following sub-folders:
CF - stands for Compact Flash. This
folder is an exact image of the files that exist on the Compact Flash on the
ChyTV unit.
HTML – This folder is where the HTML files from PowerPoint are saved.
IMAGES – This folder is used as a ‘scratch’ folder to hold
various assets used in the project.
Typical files might include jpg, bmp, and png
graphics, Photoshop files, copies of Web pages, etc.
Though not required, we
recommend that you follow this project scheme.
The ChyTV Tools utility is designed to make it very easy and convenient
for you to create pages in their proper places when you follow this scheme. Note that using the ChyTV Tools utility to
create a project will automatically generate the proper folder and sub-folder
hierarchy.
A typical project hierarchy
looks like the following:
Note that the CF sub-folder underneath the Gallery folder (or any other project
folder) is an exact duplicate of the demo compact flash. Therefore, its contents can always be copied
to a new compact flash disk to re-create the original compact flash disk.
Note that a valid, bootable
Compact Flash disk must, in addition to the project folders, include the
correct Operating System files. These OS
files differ between USB devices and IP devices. A valid, bootable Compact Flash disk will
always have the following files and structure:
